Christmas can be a hectic time of the year without having to plan and prepare a Christmas lunch. Hawkers Bar and Brasserie will take the stress out of your Christmas Day by creating the perfect atmosphere for you to enjoy a festive feast. For families, it may be a good chance for the cook of the family to have a well-earned break and spend the whole day with family rather than hidden in the kitchen. Couples and groups of friends can enjoy a relaxed afternoon in stylish surroundings with plenty of festive spirit and excellent service. Travellers who haven’t experienced a traditional British Christmas dinner before will enjoy a meal to remember. In any case, and wherever you’re from, we promise you the same friendly welcome and excellent food.
Hawkers is located just a short distance from the river at the corner of Skerne Road and Down Hall Road. The Borough itself offers relaxing walks along the River Thames, excellent shopping, including a December Christmas market, and a rich history. We are named after Harry Hawker who was born in 1889 and was the chief test pilot for Sopwith and involved in the design of many of their aircraft. His legacy is cherished in the Kingston upon Thames locale and his contribution to the aviation history of the Royal Borough is honoured at Hawkers Bar and Brasserie.
