CELEBRATING HAMPTON COURT FLOWER SHOW WITH BOTANICAL AFTERNOON TEA AT HAWKERS BAR AND BRASSERIE
RHS Hampton Court Palace Show (4th – 9th July) is one of the big dates on every horticulturalists calendar and local restaurant Hawkers Bar & Brasserie invited green-fingered guests to celebrate with an exclusive flower show package.
Head chef Darren Edwards curated a menu to reflect a refined afternoon at Hampton Court. Highlights included an artistic array of desserts, from champagne jelly with rosewater foam, to a raspberry mille-feuille bursting with English berries as well as decadent smoked salmon sandwiches with lemon cream cheese and cucumber and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam.
A themed cocktail, An English Garden, was also expertly mixed; with Sipsmith Gin flavoured with apple, lemon, peach and viola flowers.
Set in the heart of nearby Kingston, just 35-minutes by boat and 10-minutes by road to Hampton Court Palace, the hotel and restaurant is the ideal place to kick back and relax after a long day exploring the show.
